Pass

Passed my test. very eventful test it was. anybody wanna know, ask me out in June, after my exams.

anyhoo, dad came home with gai ma and ah che in tow and drove to Changi Chapel to have celebratory lunch at the Barks Cafe, all insinuations of short tight skirts and intoxicating perfume forgotten. che got down at the shell station across and bought the P plate which we promptly stuck on.

after lunch, we went to check out the chapel, and it was a really cool visit. go check it out, people. it's a very very nice place.

and yep, went my gai ma back to Ang Mo Kio and drove back to Changi. first ride on daddy's huge ass Toyota Wish. sigh. another eventful episode.

and the daddy gives the keys to his youngest daughter for the first time, as he reluctantly trusts her with his life, and that of his cousin and eldest daughter.

at least none of us died.

OP

was strolling around Plaza Sing trying to figure out what to get my sister. tough job, man. finally stopped at OP to get some grub. sat down and was drinking my tea when i looked up at the design on the wall a table was against. very cute.

Report them.

Audrey asked me out for swimming. and we got in half an hour. and i've not swam in forever. but i pushed myself. and we jumped in without any warm up, on a cool evening. sure enough, my whole body cramped up. i've not used my shoulders like that in so long. i almost died.

but still had the giggles to take a photo of the cute poster in the toilet.

suspicious strangers? report them.

English makes the world go round

What do you do when you've already ordered these things in huge bulk?

you wait for 2 girls who are trying to avoid studying as much as possible to correct one for you in a blue marker pen.

old school 2

found another old bus stop. nicely done. you don't think you'd miss these things, but it is good old memories as compared to the new bus stops, where you sit on it and then feel like you're gonna slide off immediately.

Lorelai Gilmore & Max Medina

So it's Lorelai Gilmore & Max Medina arguing in a coffee place about whether or not they should date.

"You're just telling me what you think i wanna hear, aren't you?
"Yes."
"I knew it."
"Doesn't mean it doesn't coincide with how I really feel!"
"Yeah, but if you're telling me what you think I wanna hear, then I'm not getting to know you..."
"But if I know what you wanna hear that shows a level of understanding on my part that far exceeds your understanding of me..."

Gilmore Girls

Emily: You were on the phone?
Richard: Long distance.
Lorelai: God?
Richard: London.
Lorelai: God lives in London?
Richard: My mother lives in London.
Lorelai: Your mother is God?
Richard: Lorelai...
Lorelai: So, God is a woman.
Richard: Lorelai.
Lorelai: And a relative. That's so cool. I'm gonna totally ask for favors.
Richard: Make her stop.
Rory: Oh, that I could.

I've been tagged

I know this post is not a conventional Visual Laids post, but... i got tagged.

Tagged by
Volta Grande

“This is what you are supposed to do - cut and paste if you decide to participate in the tagging game.. People who get tagged need to write in a blog of their own 6 weird things about themselves as well as state the rules clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. After you do that, leave them each a comment letting them know you tagged them and to read your blog.”

1. While I am Indian, my daddy is also Indian Chinese. So hell, I'm actually 3/4 Chinese. BUT Indian.

2. My second language is Mandarin, not Malay. I can't speaketh this Malay language!

3. I've been told I sometimes look like a maid. And that is the only thing keeping me from cutting my hair short, because i really do.

4. I'm very friendly (or maybe I just think I am ;) ), but I have very very few good friends.

5. I'm achingly straight forward.

6. I have a love-hate relationship with men.

I tag... Audrey, Vanessa, Ratunio, uh... see this is where my problem from number 4 comes in! uh... HAZMI! okay 2 more. Stephanie dear. My God, it's like a math problem that you just can't figure out. Volta Grande, can i tag you too? AH i'll just tag Xian Zhi! okay there! Audrey, Vanessa, MAtthew, Hazmi, Stephanie and Corjua. :D

I Heart Dolphins

My sister is a wonderful person, and I'm quite influenced by her. i love geography, i love the environment, but i can never measure up to the level of determination she has in the things she believes in.

my sister loves dolphins. she has saved up money just to go to Hawaii to see dolphins. and then an ex colleague sent this to me.

even if you don't have a particular love to dolphins, this will make anybody's heart ache. if you didn't cry, you should be filled with rage.

do something about it. sign the petition.
Stop the dolphin and whale killings in Taiji Petition

The video - http://www.glumbert.com/media/dolphin
i should warn you, the video is gruesome, and shows a treatment towards dolphins that will make your heart weep, and an anger towards this treatment. if you think you cannot stomach it, please do not watch. i'm still haunted by it. che, please do not watch it.

for this, i am going off fish for the month of April, and continuing so if i can help it. i am deeply upset with my fellow mankind. this is... disgusting... and unjust.

spread the message... please.
