Fish are Friends!

during a particular CLRI lesson where Legal Aid was being discussed (sorry Shalini, i love you, but Legal Aid doesn't exactly make me jump for joy), and i got a bit carried away with my foolscap paper.

i couldn't bear to throw it away so it became my file for my spare papers, so it proved more useful.

ah well. threw it away last night.

and yeah, in case you were wondering, i didn't eat fish for that month.

And here is the difference!!

Finally, ladies and gentlemen, after 6 months of BMT (due to the fact that he was in the extreme obese camp), my brother is having his passing out parade on Wednesday, which my sister and i have already promised to go to, obviously before finding out that we're supposed to be AT Pasir Ris AT 7.30fuckingam.

but oh well, it'll be worth it.

and after 6 months, even though the smelly and unhygenic habits still remain (for crying out loud, lift the toilet seat!) i do see a marked difference. more sunlight, for one.

tell me you see it too.

It's packed away!

Got together ALL my notes, organised it by subject, by chapter, by date. very orderly, very perfect, and i nicely hole punched them all and sorted them into separate binders.

got out 2 boxes (including the UOL box) and fit in all my law books, the notes, plus the file i was using during the induction period.

i kept rearranging everything to get everything to fit in nice and snug, and taped them allllllll shut. moved it into my Granny's room, ready for moving.

and then i fucking found a stack of SIC notes hidden under a pile of foolscap paper, some last minute revision before my Contract paper.

son of a... *violent gestures*
whatever it is....
it's over...

My Room

in an effort to help me memorise things better, i have typed out my notes, printed them out and stuck them all over my walls. unfortunately, i only managed to do so for 6 chapters of Criminal Law.

what a headache... i think this was how people became insane. anyway, my dad has sold the house *loud bawls of tears* so... bye bye room. and i will be moving into the smallest room in the house.

sigh... fine then. "You snooze you lose," right?

Now we know how they sleep...

was driving... somewhere. i can't remember. haha. but i noticed a leg of a cat under the car of my neighbour so i squatted down to take a look.

hehehehehehehehehehehehe. i never giggled so hard...

oh right! i was sending my brother to Pasir Ris. hehehehehehe.

so cute!!

A woman's suffering

yep. my foot's banged up.

first of course, is the big toe, which is still in the process of growing back.

then wearing high heels has killed my last 2 toes as well with blisters.

in case you can't tell from the first photo, check out the bulbing blister from this picture! isn't it huge?! ouch man...

and my toes look funny.

Flat tyre!

so came home from studying just in time to see my dad drive past me. i grabbed the keys from him and was all, "shall we go for dinner?" (okay this was after sharing the 'dinner' with Audrey and Perry, eating left over noodles and nasi lemak with our hands!). dad grunted an okay and grudgingly went over to the passenger's side, so we drove to changi village and had proper nasi lemak. with fork and spoon.

drove home, and just as my dad popped into the shower thinking he can FINALLY go to sleep, my sister calls sounding distressed. "Nina, where's daddy? We got a flat tyre!"

oh joy.

made daddy come out of the shower and i speed drove to around Kallang area, where we found my sister and her friend Germaine struggling. apparently it wasn't that they didn't know how to change a tyre, but that they couldn't even pull the wrench out of the car!! it was stuck. whenever my sister runs into trouble, she immediately calls my dad, as she did this time even though Germaine was talking about getting a tow truck. "You think what, your dad will come and do one move and it will come out is it??" "Well, that's what he always does!"

and sure enough... he fiddles for 20 seconds and out it pops. sigh i swear... i can't even believe my sister is doing her masters she's so dense sometimes. don't worry che i still love you.

anyway, fixed up her tyre and off we went. my poor daddy.

"sigh... thought can come home early and sleep by 10. now it's almost midnight and i'm going to have to take another shower."

according to my sister, when she told my gong gong about this, he so wisely said that for the sake of your daughter, must standby and be boyish again. a daddy's job is never done.

Studying with Audrey

well you realise how much photos you've accumulated at the end of studying. so i'm just gonna lump it together here.

so been studying with Audrey and her 2 friends, Perry and Ameer, at the Esplanade library. the place is HELL cold, and the toilets are on every other floor except the one with the library on it, which i can only assume is for space purposes, and the seats make my butt fall asleep after a while.

anyhow, after dinner one day, we went back to the library and they were having a show by these kids at the Art Cafe. they do this once in a while, and it was pretty cool.

we went to the roof one evening to have our dinner. Audrey and i went to the loo first, and we came and found Perry... uh... well. shoeless.

so yep, we were gonna have our dinner, and these guys buy their lunches and dinner to save money, and i somehow never got the chance to buy anything, which could be mostly attributed to the fact that i get there around... after lunch. haha brilliant.

so this was left over nasi lemak and some noodles that we were gonna share, and we just plopped it all together, and realised we had NO utensils.

brilliant minds. all in the name of law exams, everyone.
we went up to the roof again to have lunch and it was about to rain. it looked really scary. and that thing's about up.

all in all, it has been very interesting to study with them, and Audrey darling i appreciate the help you've given me for Public law. it made all the difference. thanks doll.

Honey why you calling me...

giggles. hehehehehehe
i so fucking swear...

Christian Dior

okay this is worh breaking away from studying.

i've been looking for a small bag to hold under my arm pit kind cause for all of you who know me, i'm the one with the bag pack or the huge sling bag, none of which coordinates with my clothes. i'm the sneakers girl, in jeans and t-shirt.

anyway, i can't shop, nor am i the person who will willingly part with my money for such trivial shopping accessories.

my mum is cleaning out her closets. and my parents used to be pretty well to do, i'd admit. and friends and relatives buy really expensive gifts. back then, EVERYONE was pretty well off.

so my mum has this bag. and she doesn't want it. she doesn't like it. to her, it's so small, it's an odd colour, it's an even odder shape. i can never use this. i can only assume she was gonna give it away. i saw it. simple, blue, small. it was perfect. i tried it. hey, it looks great. then i see the CDs on the straps. huh. oh! my god. it's Christian Dior, isn't it? oh okay. is it expensive? like... hundred bucks?

now i'm a dumb dumb. i don't know labels or brands or whatever. i see hey it fits. hey it's nice. hey it's cheap. alright, i'll take it. she said it's an expensive gift. i dun really know.

i find it online.

it's selling on like ebay and amazon for like $500!!! and then i see that its freaking retail is $900!! USD no less!!! it's looking pretty intimidating now. but when i see the pictures... something ain't right. i thought maybe the picture had added on something. i opened the bag and looked closer and realised...

oh my god...

my mum cut out the leather strap of the bag. never mind, designer brand, whatever. i don't like this part, i'll just snip through it.

yikes.

at least i got a new bag...
people please, say whatever you wish on this startling discovery. i need to know people are reacting similarly to me!

Necklaces to give away

So... dad has sold the house. sigh... can't believe in a few months this home won't be here no more. breaks my heart.

but anyway, i'm just putting up a quick post. i have some old necklaces of my mum's which i'm giving away. now, they may seem old and... truth be told, possible quite obiang. but they're actually nice if you look at it properly, and i've already taken 3 for myself. so PLEASE. take it! otherwise it's going in the trash. drop me a message.
so first off is this necklace which comes in red and pink. i already snagged the white one. :P it's simple, it's nice.
then there's this black one. it's chunky, no doubt about it, but it's fashion now adays i see. not very agogo as it is fashionista. so i'm doing you a favour!
as is this slinky black one. which actually goes really well with evening gowns.

and this green one... i almost wanted to keep it but decided it's really not my style.

and finally this dark blue one that's made up of little stones. now, while i say stones, it's not heavy. it's plastic. but it's pretty. again, almost kept it for myself. hey, wait a minute... why didn't i keep it for myself? i can't remember... ah never mind i have enough necklaces, and it's not like i dress up all the time anyway. so open to all.

alright people, please take these away from me! they are nice necklaces and i'd hate to throw them away. remember, i'm giving them away. not selling. just tell me, it's yours.
thanks.
